What did you want to do when you grow up?
When I was young, I always told people I wanted to become a doctor, but at the end of the day, I just want to contribute and help human kind in the biggest possible way through technology.
Which women do you admire in your life?
My mom definitely, my grandma, Supeni. Supeni was one of Indonesia’s legendary women politicians. Her career was built from being Indonesia’s traveling ambassador during the 1960’s under Soekarno’s era (Indonesia’s first President). My grandma led a delegation of 19 men at the United Nation's conference in New York in 1962. For that era, it was extraordinary. Of course, one day, I would love to sit down and hang out with Oprah Winfrey.
Name one activity that you do every day without fail
I always make sure that I learn something new every day.
If you are not working you would be … ?
Hanging out with my two daughters and husband. Head to the mall for some retail therapy with my daughters, or I would be shopping online :)
What's your favorite vacation spot?
Bali, Indonesia (heaven on earth).
If you really want to dress to impress, what do you do?
I put on my Batik outfit. Batik is a traditional textile, which is done intricately through a resistant wax dyeing process. It's one of the highest forms of art that can be found in Indonesia. (Here is my blog:
What's your favorite everyday beauty brands/products?
Nothing in particular, but I love Guerlain, Armani, Chanel, and Dior.
What was the biggest obstacle you have faced that in the end helped you?
Failures that I went through in a number of my business ventures.
How often do you check your emails?
After every meeting. Most of the time, my daily work schedule is back-to-back meetings..
How do you stay sane and on top of it?
I think of my two beautiful daughters.
How do you get energized?
I feel energized after a glass of fresh squeezed orange mixed with strawberry juice.
Do you exercise? If yes, what type and how often?
I just do planks and squats daily for 10 minutes. Then on weekends, I hit the gym.
What do you splurge on?
I splurge on gorgeous Indonesian Batik cloths (yes, the best ones cost thousands and thousands of dollars) and the best pair of stiletto heels like Valentino’s rock studs and Louboutins.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me is having a balance in life between work, family, social and spiritual life and to be useful for human kind.
If you could meet a younger you from 10 years ago, what would you have told her?

She is a beauty. Hard to believe she already has daughters. So lovely to meet her 🙂
A woman after my own heart.. I gotta agree, batik is such an expensive cloth and is one of the most beautiful and comfortable to get into.
I love her fashion statement. I think batik clothing is a great pattern and Miss Shinta is fashion forward in her own right.
“I always make sure that I learn something new every day.” – Now that is inspiring. I also aspire to learn at least one thing or two about business or anything, so I can improve more day by day.
Oh she is so inspiring indeed 🙂
She’s beautiful and talented, and her works are inspiring. I would love to meet her and learn more from her 🙂
I love a girl who knows her priorities and isn’t afraid of failures. She’s a great inspiration 🙂
She’s a dedicated mom, hard-working professional with excellent taste in fashion.. I think I like her already!
A stylish shark with a beautiful heart. I would love to personally meet her and tell her how she inspires me.
Wow, she looks really elegant in her batik clothes. I love her style!
I love her spirit, her drive and passion and her love for her family first and foremost. I always believe that behind a successful woman is a family that loves her back. You are inspirational, Shinta 🙂
Her love for her family is evident, I give her much respect and admiration for that because even though she works hard, she always thinks of her family first. Yes, very inspiring indeed!
If I had enough money to splurge on, I would definitely check out and purchase all Louboutins so I have lots to choose from.
Wow, a busy woman with three work responsibilities but still manages her home with her kids. I wish I could be like her once I get married, too. Shinta, you are an inspiration.
I really love her fashion choice. Batik is a beautiful printed Indonesian pattern that is rich and classic at the same time. I love how she combined modern classic with batik.
She’s exquisitely good looking and fashion forward. A successful woman at such a young age. Amazing!
I’ve heard and read a few articles about Shinta Dhanuwardoyo and I admire her a lot. She’d done a lot in paving the way to online connection in Indonesia. Such a strong spirited woman, indeed she is!
Batik fashion is definitely IN these days. I love this cloth and have seen the ones Shinta had shown on her site. Beautiful!
I’ve heard so much about the beauty of Bali, Indonesia. The beach, the people, the food. I would love to visit this exotic place and meet beautiful people like Shinta 🙂
One day! It is truly worth a visit!
I love her beauty. So simple yet exotic, so elegant yet also fierce!
I love her style and character, plus her love for her family always comes first, so that’s definitely a plus. You go girl. 🙂
She’s got a good head above her shoulders. I also want to learn something new every day.
Miss Shinta is a great lady, a dedicated mom and a “shark” in the business industry. I hope to be like her when I finally graduate from college and have my own company in the future.
