Ah, NYFW … that time of the year where the streets of New York are once again filled with creative yet stylish chaos. When the streets are teaming with women wearing tottering heels rushing from one jampacked show to the next. I was invited to over 40 shows and although I liked most of them, the designers below stood out the most.
Here are my top picks for this 2016 Fall/Winter New York Fashion Week:
1. ZANG TOI
Zang Toi is one of my all time favorite designers and this season he wowed the crowds yet again.I love how his collection this year is so multi-faceted – it was so versatile from street style, tailored wear & red carpet, Zang Toi had it all.

2. THOMAS WYLDE
Thomas Wylde (another FAVORITE of mine) is my go-to designer in Los Angeles. The carefully curated pieces, had that perfect balance of rock and roll and refinementwhich I can never get enough of. Even though they used predictable leather, fur and primary color combos, when paired with head designer’s Jene Park’s creativity , never failed to draw admiring gasps from the crowd as the models stut down the runway.
3. O’2ND
Comfortable, feminine, tailored – these three put together would definitely describe my favorite fashion go-to pieces and O’2nd’s presentation didn’t fall short on that. From slim-cut to bell-bottom trousers to fantastic coats, textured tops & sequined pieces, O’2nd is definitely on my must-watch designer list this year.
4. CONCEPT KOREA
Among my top picks this year would definitely be Concept Korea’s showcase on different fabric and textures from fur to dark denim, tartan and leopard prints and bright colored boots – the eclectic mix may be out of the box for some, but their sleek tailored pieces topped together with uniquely crafted ensembles leave a fashion statement to be remembered.
5. LIE SANGBONG
Lie Sangbong falls into my designer picks for NYFW Fall/Winter 2016 for his choice of neutral and bold color palettes topped with fur and artistic patterns into tailored everyday pieces.
Some noticeably NYFW Fall/Winter 2016 trends would definitely include masculine silhouettes incorporated into women’s wear through beautifully tailored pieces incorporated with leather or fur outerwear.
